About Drew Rosdhal, PMHNP-BC
I am a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with over 8 years of experience in healthcare. My career began in high-acuity skilled nursing facilities, where I cared for patients with complex physical and mental health needs. I then transitioned to the emergency department, managing acute mental health crises in high-stress environments, with the sick, depressed, and everyone else. The world was moving so fast, I found my niche with slowing things down and asking questions. I found a way to complete school while working the night shift at the ER. What a blessing in disguise.
I completed my Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner training at Walden University, I’ve learned from so many great teachers and from asking question, I spent time in private mental health care clinics, working in emergency settings, volunteering and working with vets, and as a nursing instructor I was in a position to connect with new nurses to help them better understand the need for awareness.
As a U.S. military veteran who deployed to Iraq, I bring some insight to the table, especially when supporting those with PTSD. My path to psychiatric nursing is deeply personal: I have had my struggles with ADHD , and watching my son face similar challenges growing up has given me a unique kinship with patients and families navigating this condition. Combined with my own mental health experiences, those of my family, and the crises I witnessed in clinical settings, this drives my commitment to building trusting, one-on-one therapeutic relationships.
I provide compassionate, evidence-based care for adults experiencing depression, anxiety, PTSD, substance abuse and addiction, ADHD, OCD, and sleep disturbances.
I am a genuine, caring person who wants to help others. I’m Minnesota born and I live with my wife, two dogs, and a cat, who keep life balanced and joyful. I am dedicated to doing the best I can in guiding patients with their mental health.
